George Galanopoulos
George Galanopoulos is a practising lawyer, qualified to appear before courts of all instances. He successfully completed his studies at the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, subsequently obtaining a Master’s degree in Public Law from the same institution. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Law at the aforementioned university, focusing on data protection in public administration.
He has accumulated extensive experience in offering counsel and representing corporate entities in legal proceedings within the domains of administrative and civil law. In addition to his professional experience, he has undertaken a considerable number of compliance projects for organisations in both the public and private sectors, with a focus on the current regulatory framework for the protection of personal data.
He has served at the Department of Trained Legal Auditors of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority. Moreover, he possesses substantial professional experience as a Data Protection Officer (DPO) within Public Administration, holding certifications from the Hellenic Certification Institute (HEL.I.C) and Center for Education and Lifelong Learning of AUTH (KEDIVIM AUTH).
In 2019, he was awarded a scholarship from the Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights (MFHR), following a written competition, and participated in the 50th Summer School of International Law of the Rene Cassin Foundation in Strasbourg.
He is a regular contributor to scientific journals and is the author of the book “Privatisation policy in economic crisis” (Nomiki Vivliothiki). He is the Co-Founder and, as of October 2024, the President of the National Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Personal Data and Digital Governance Law (Rythmisis).

Dr Maria-Oraiozili Koutsoupia
Dr Maria-Oraiozili Koutsoupia was born in July 1993 in Veria, Greece. She studied at the Faculty of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where she received her law degree in 2015. She then pursued two postgraduate degrees at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specializing in Public Law and International Legal Studies with a focus on Public International Law. Continuing her academic journey, she completed a specialized postgraduate program in Intellectual Property & Information, Communication, and Technology Law at the Faculty of Law of KU Leuven, where she focused on artificial intelligence-based medical devices.
In July 2022, Maria-Oraiozili was awarded a Ph.D. in Public Law by the Faculty of Law of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens for her dissertation entitled “Information Carriers and Decision-Making Processes”, through which she laid the foundations for the concept of “Administrative Information Law” and explored the use of artificial intelligence as a tool for ensuring proper information dissemination.
Since 2015, she has worked as a lawyer for law firms in Athens and Brussels and has also previously served at the European Parliament. She was the President and Co-founder of the National Institute for AI Law, Rythmisis. She is currently engaged in the research sector of the European Institutions.
Maria-Oraiozili speaks four languages, regularly contributes to public law scientific journals, and published her first legal book in 2020.

Dr Dimitrios Kyriazis
Dr Dimitrios Kyriazis is an Assistant Professor of European Union Law at the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He was previously a Postdoctoral Researcher in Law at the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Research Fellow in Law at Northeastern University London, where from 2017 to 2020 he served as Head of the Law Faculty. He has also held the post of Lecturer in Law at Oxford University and Teaching Fellow in Law at UCL.
Dimitrios holds an LLB from the Athens Law School (graduated top of his class), an MJur from Oxford University (graduated top of his class), an MPhil with Distinction from Oxford and a DPhil (PhD) on state aid law, under the supervision of Professor Stephen Weatherill. He has received numerous awards and scholarships for his academic accomplishments, including the Clarendon Scholarship (Oxford’s most competitive scholarship), the Onassis Scholarship, the Clifford Chance Prize, the Light Senior Scholarship, and a PhD grant from the UK’s Chartered Institute of Taxation. He has worked as a lawyer in Athens and Brussels (Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer) and is now the Managing Partner of “Kyriazis Law Offices” in Kolonaki, Athens.
He is currently a member of the “EU AI Board Subgroup” which was set up to resolve the issues arising from the interaction of the AI Act with other EU AI instruments. This is a sub-group of the EU Artificial Intelligence Board. He is also a member of the Working Group on the Protection of Minors from Internet Addiction of the Greek Ministry of Digital Governance.

Dr Antonia Nikolopoulou
Dr Antonia Nikolopoulou is a qualified attorney based in Athens, specializing in Civil Law, Corporate Law, and the emerging field of Artificial Intelligence Law. She earned her LL.B. from the Faculty of Law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2016 and subsequently pursued two postgraduate degrees. The first, completed with a scholarship at the Faculty of Law of Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in 2017, focused on Medical Law and New Technologies within the framework of Civil Law. The second, obtained from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2024, concentrated on Crisis Management, with a particular emphasis on the regulation and governance of Artificial Intelligence.
Dr Nikolopoulou successfully completed her doctoral dissertation at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, in the field of Civil Law, under the supervision of Professor Dr jur. Andreas Spickhoff. Her dissertation, entitled “Liability for Autonomous Medical Robots in Germany with a Comparative Analysis of Greek Liability Law,” explored legal liability issues associated with autonomous systems in healthcare.
Since 2016, she has been actively practicing law in Athens, with significant experience in litigation concerning Corporate and Medical Law. In parallel, she provides legal consultancy on personal data protection and the regulation of Artificial Intelligence.
Dr Nikolopoulou has authored scholarly articles and studies published both in Greece and internationally. Two of her monographs are forthcoming. She is fluent in English and German.

Dr Evripidis St. Stylianidis
Dr Evripidis St. Stylianidis born on April 8th, 1966 in Komotini, Greece, is married to Ms. Julie Papachristou and is father of Stylianos, Helena and Georgia.
He is a member of the Hellenic Parliament representing the County of Rodopi (Nea Dimokratia), Associate Professor at the Law School of the European University Cyprus (EUC), Attorney at Law, Dr Juris in Constitutional Law of the University of Hamburg Law School (1990-1994).
Dr Stylianidis was elected twelve (12) times as Parliamentarian in Rodopi (2005-2015, 2019 until today). He is Greece’s Representative at the Committee for Legal Affairs of the Council of Europe, the Committee on the Honoring of Obligations and Commitments by Member States of the Council of Europe (Monitoring Committee) as well as at the Committee for the Selection of Judges for the European Court of Human Rights. He served as the Head of the Hellenic Deputies at the Parliamentary Assembly (PA) of NATO (2013-2015). He was Delegate on behalf of the Hellenic Parliament at the EU Convention for the European Constitution in 2001.
He is the President of the Parliamentary Committee for the Constitutional Reform 2019.
He is a member of the Hellenic Parliament’s Standing Committee of External Affairs and National Security, of the Institutional and Transparency Committee, of the Educational Affairs Committee, of the Committee for the Review of the European Court of Justice’s Decisions, of the Committee on the Standing Orders and the Special Permanent Committee on Greeks Abroad.
Dr Ε. Stylianidis served as a Deputy Minister of External Affairs (2004-2007), Minister of Education (2007-2009), Minister of Transportation and Communications (2009) and Minister of the Interior (2012-2013).
As the competent Secretary he drafted the Government’s Schedule of Action on behalf of Nea Dimokratia Party (2011-2012). He was elected President of the Youth Organisation of New Democracy (1994-1995) and was candidate for the European Parliament in 1994. Evripidis was elected President of the Students’ Association at the Law School of Demokritos University of Thrace (1984-1989), where he graduated from, while he represented said Association in the Council and the Central Commission of EFEE (Pan-Hellenic Students’ Union).
He was honored with various scholarships in Greece and abroad. He participated in Young Leaders’ Programs in the USA (German Marshall Fund of the United States), in France (Ministries of International Affairs and Defense) and in Germany.
Prof. Dr Stylianidis has been honored through a series of distinctions by the Kings of Denmark and of Belgium as well as the Presidents of Germany, Austria and Hungary for his contribution in favor of the development of bilateral relations.
He worked as a local Collaborator of the Greek Government with the General Consulate in Hamburg (1991-1994), as a Researcher at the European Public Law Organization in Greece (EPLO, 1996-2001) as well as an attorney at law.
Prof. Dr Stylianidis’ Publications include a series of scientific articles and contributions in Greece and abroad. Prof. Stylianidis speaks English and German. He is native in Greek.
